Bayong wood beads inlaid with abalone shell are a special treat. The natural color of bayong wood is a warm red-brown, with a lovely wood grain pattern that can be easily seen. Each bead has a decorative inlay of multi colored abalone (paua) shell on each side of the bead for lots of colorful flash. These are the smallest wood inlaid shell beads that we carry. Gifted artisans hand set tiny pieces of natural shell onto these small beads, so please allow for some surface differences and size variation between beads. Come on, let's make something beautiful!
